Patricia Patton of Em Hotep Nail Spa in collaboration with We Act Radio presents Soudbath with MuMu Fresh and Sunday Dinner. As we enter this spring equinox, it’s a great time to immerse the mind, body and soul into a refreshing and relaxing experience of sound. Grammy Nominated Recording Artist, Maimouna Youssef will lead this sound bath with her melodic voice, which is a divine gift to receive. The vibrational frequency and soothing tones of this experience will provide an excellent opportunity to relax your entire body in order to create a state of harmony. The opportunity to participate in this sound bath lead by MuMu Fresh is very special, therefore there are only a limited amount of spaces available. A delectable catered pescatarian and vegan dinner, prepared by Chef Keith James, will be served after the conclusion of this sound offering.
***Doors will open at 3pm in order to allow everyone to be situated in their space. The sound bath will begin promptly at 4pm, so make sure you are there at least 15 minutes before we begin. The door will be locked at 4pm and you will not be able to enter the building until the sound bath has been ended.
Maimouna Youssef also known as Mumu Fresh is GRAMMY-Nominated, Indigenous Music award-winning, 3 X Washington Area Music award (WAMMIE) winning, Urban World Music Video award-winning, Musical and Cultural Ambassador for the US State Department, former elected governor of the DC chapter of The Recording Academy, co-creator of the Recording Academy’s “Best Song for Social Change” award, IMAN central roster artist and an Ambassador of The Black Music Collective.
Mumu Fresh has performed on two separate NPR Tiny Desk concerts which both surpassed 1 Million views each. She has toured internationally as a critically acclaimed singer, Emcee, songwriter, activist, workshop facilitator and now audio engineer who’s been called a “quadruple threat” by The Roots’ Black Thought, a musical “Quasar” by Indie rap legend TechN9ne, & “groundbreaking” by Oscar-winning artist, Common.
Wear comfortable clothing as this experience will take place on the floor of the event space. Please bring a yoga mat to lie down on. You may also bring a small blanket and pillow if you choose to. The session will be one hour so prepare your mind to be ready to be comfortable and to receive this beautiful energy.
